NDIS Funding For Courses & Programs

“How can fees from courses and programs be funded through my NDIS plan?”

In most cases, fees associated with courses or programs can be claimed via your NDIS funding which is great news for you. This unlocks a whole new world of exciting opportunities that you may have not even been aware of. Winning!

We have a lot of participants and families who were unaware that they can purchase many of the training, courses and programs that we offer with their NDIS funding. They’ve all been glad to find that little bit of information out!

As long as you haven’t run out of funds, you can use NDIS funding to cover our program fees.

So, How does it actually work?

As a registered NDIS provider, the staff who lead these programs, courses and 1-on-1 sessions are all registered allied health professionals. Currently, our Exercise Physiologists run these programs and the fees are set by the NDIS price guide.

The cost of the program you choose will depend on the number of sessions agreed in the service agreement between the provider and participant. The standard program length is 12 sessions including an initial assessment and a re-assessment at the end.

Depending on how your plan is managed, it will work a little bit differently:

Self-Managed Plans

This is on the understanding that this training will help the NDIS participant to reach their goals and build capacity to manage the plan, their course fee can be claimed from Capacity Building if you have funds available (see table below). Also used for 1-on-1 sessions with an AEP.

Plan Manager

Your plan manager can pay via the Capacity Building categories below that have funds available (see table below – NDIS claim details).

NDIS Managed

You can ask your NDIS service provider to pay for this training for you or your family member, but they do not have to do this. If they are willing, they can claim for it as part of the funds they are collecting to provide you support.
