OpentraX is all about creating adventures that are as unique as you are. Start with any of our Base programs listed below, and let us tailor a journey that combines your favorite activities just the way you like them!
Skills-traX© combines adventure therapy with bike skill coaching to achieve positive life impacts. Through individually tailored therapy sessions with mountain biking, participants gain increased confidence, improved communication, problem-solving skills, and a greater sense of resilience. These lasting outcomes significantly impact personal development, unlocking new opportunities and experiences.
Session Delivery: One-on-One and Groups*
Session Length: 1.5hrs per session
*We begin with One-on-One sessions to assess your biking skills. This ensures you’re matched with a group that complements your skill level. Transition to groups is optional.
OpentraX has developed the Learn2Ride© program as a unique way to combine psychology, exercise physiology, and learning to ride bikes in a fun and engaging way. Our practitioners work to create an immersive program that focuses on both physical and mental development. By integrating the psychology of goal-setting, self-reflection, and problem-solving with the physical exercise of learning to ride a bike, we not only foster personal development but also unlock greater access to the community through increased mobility. This comprehensive approach ensures our participants gain valuable life skills alongside the freedom and joy of riding a bike.

Overcome challenges, improve mental health, and achieve your personal goals with Minds Over Mountains©. We use evidence-based therapeutic interventions combined with the healing power of nature, tailored to each participant’s specific needs and interests. From promoting physical and mental health through nature to integrating mindfulness practices like meditation and breathing exercises, we have a range of tools to help you reach your full potential.

OpentraX’s Park-Fit© program incorporates a range of fitness elements, including strength, balance, mobility, and aerobic conditioning, all in a fun and engaging environment. We utilise both park equipment and our own mobile equipment to optimise the participant’s sessions. Our exercise sessions may include pilates, yoga, strength and HIIT, which we individualise to suit each participant’s fitness level and physical abilities.

OpentraX’s Adventure Therapy Programs are designed to be flexible and adaptable, capturing the essence of the great outdoors. That means we can conduct our sessions virtually anywhere with a suitable trail or park, giving us the freedom to explore and enjoy nature to the fullest.
However, we do have some main locations where our practitioners are based and many of our transformative programs typically take place, as shown on the map.
If you have a preferred location or know of a great trail that would be a fantastic fit for our programs, please don’t hesitate to get in touch with us. We’re always open to exploring new places where adventure can come to life.

Please be aware, to enroll in our OpentraX Holiday Programs you will still need to complete an Initial Assessment with one of our dedicated Adventure Therapy Practitioners to ensure suitability. Completing an assessment will allow you entry into any programs as recommended by your Adventure Therapy Practitioner.
Event Description:
Get ready for a treasure hunt on two wheels! 🚴♂️🧭
Join OpentraX for an adventurous half-day session designed for curious minds and active bodies. Starting from Grange Forest Park, we’ll begin by locating a few geocaches in the surrounding park before hopping on our bikes and cruising along the Kedron Brook Bikeway in search of hidden treasures.
We’ll rest and ride at the Kedron BMX Pump Track, then continue on to uncover more caches on the way to and near the Nundah Criterium Track, before heading back to our starting point.
Expect teamwork, trail riding, problem solving, and loads of fun in the great outdoors!

Get ready for an action-packed day of mountain biking at Hidden Vale Adventure Park! With over 110km of world-class trails, this experience is perfect for riders ready to take on thrilling descents, technical climbs, and scenic singletrack surrounded by breathtaking landscapes.
We’ll start the day with a warm-up ride, then dive into guided sessions tailored to challenge and inspire. Expect flowy berms, rocky descents, fast switchbacks, and panoramic valley views. After a midday break for lunch and stories, we’ll squeeze in one last epic ride before wrapping up.

Let’s ride! 🌿🚴♂️🔥
Join us for a full-day hiking expedition through the rugged and breathtaking ranges of Mt Glorious. Starting from Lawton Road, we’ll embark on a challenging out-and-back trail to the stunning Northbrook Mountain Summit – on the beautiful Mt Glorious.
Expect steep climbs, rocky ridgelines, and incredible panoramic views along the way. The trail features an elevation gain of 476 metres and covers approximately 6km each way. With a total of nearly 12 km return, this hike is designed for experienced adventurers who enjoy testing their endurance and soaking in nature’s wild side.
Keep your eyes peeled for native wildlife and birds of prey gliding across the ridgelines—this is as real and raw as it gets.

The OpentraX Bush Explorers Program is an exciting holiday initiative tailored for NDIS participants, offering a unique adventure therapy experience in a natural environment. Led by experienced adventure therapy practitioners, the program aims to promote self-learning, resilience, and adventurous play. The program is divided into age-appropriate groups, ensuring each participant receives a personalised and enriching experience. 🌿
Outdoor Skills, Adventure And Exploration May Include:
- Introduction to hand tool use, including safe handling of saws, drills, etc 🔨.
- Introduction to Geocaching, finding hidden treasures 🪙.
- Knot-tying, lashings, and bush cubby building skills 🛠️.
- Primitive weapons crafting from local weed species, promoting creativity and resourcefulness 🌿.
- Flora and fauna identification, fostering environmental awareness and curiosity 🌼🦋.
- Recognising and understanding seasonal weather patterns, encouraging preparation and adaptability 🌦️.
- Immersive experience in wild spaces with access to a freshwater creek 🏞️.
- Active play with tree climbing, engaging in physical fitness in a fun, natural setting 🌳.
- Experiential learning with mud and natural clay 🍂.
- Self-directed projects utilising natural resources, fostering problem-solving skills and independence 🌟.

At OpentraX, inclusivity is at the heart of what we do. Travel
Participants are welcome to meet at the park by 9:45am for the Ride to start at 10am. Transport from Brisbane is available with meeting points at Downey Park, Windsor (approx. 8am) and Ikea, Logan (approx. 8:30am). Pick up at the park by 2:15pm or Brisbane meeting locations approx. 3-4pm.

Gear up for the ultimate Mountain Biking experience! This camp is designed for local riders looking to explore new trails around Brisbane & the Gold Coast. On Day 1, we’ll kick off at Gap Creek Reserve with some intro activities, followed by our first ride. After a refreshing lunch and swim at Walkabout Creek, we’ll hit the trails again at Samford Conservation Park before heading to Karingal Scout Campsite to unwind for the night. Day 2 starts with a morning ride at Scribbly Gums Conservation Area, followed by lunch along the scenic bay waterfront. The adventure continues with an afternoon ride at Daisy Hill Conservation Park. On Day 3, we’ll journey to Nerang National Park on the Gold Coast for a thrilling morning ride, before wrapping up with lunch and a swim at the beach. It’s the perfect adventure for riders looking to push their limits and explore new terrain!

Explore, Ride & Swim D-Aguilar

Adventure Highlights:
Prepare for an active outdoor experience in the heart of D’Aguilar National Park! Day 1 begins with a short walk to explore The Gantry area and a tasty lunch. Afterward, we’ll head to camp to set up, play games, and gather around the fire for an evening of stargazing. Day 2 features a thrilling morning ride along the trails of D’Aguilar National Park, followed by lunch back at camp and a refreshing swim in Neurum Creek. We’ll wrap up the day with some camp games, dinner, and a wildlife-spotting evening hike. On Day 3, after breakfast and packing up camp, we’ll head to Stony Creek Day Use Area for a morning swim, lunch by the creek, and group games before starting our journey back home.
